WALES COMES TO WASHINGTON DCEvery year the Smithsonian puts on the Folk-Life Festival featured different countries and states and regions of the United States. This year Wales is the featured country. Over 100 participants from Wales will be there including the Hennessys (Frank Hennessy, Dave Burns and Iolo Jones), Sian James and her folk group Parti Cut Lloi, the champion male choir Only Men Aloud, singer Gwyneth Glyn, winning poet and singer Twm Morys, plus poets, storytellers, crafts people, food demonstrations, quilters, travel guides, slate workers, artists, etc. The festival is held 24-28 June and 1-5 July on the Washington Mall.
